In 1961 with the help of his WLS-AM listeners, Biondi recorded a 45 rpm vinyl record, “The Pizza Song” a parody of "On Top of Old Smoky". On the flip side was “Knock Knock”.
Dick Biondi’s “Young America” was the first radio network rock ‘n’ roll show; the syndicated program was broadcast on the Mutual Network from New York in 1964.
